Mica Products
Flexible mica products from PAR are used in a variety of high voltage electrical equipment. As this range of products is very specialised, it is advisable to contact our sales department, who will recommend the best product for the required application. As well as supplying in log roll form, the majority of materials within the range can be supplied in sheet form or slit tapes from 12mm wide upwards.
Product groups within this range are as follows:
NOVOBOND®
The Novobond® range of flexible materials are intended for use as conductor, mainwall, turn or end winding insulation in high voltage rotating machines rated at 155°C (Class F), where the 'resin rich' technique is employed. The Novobond® range consists of glass fabric backed micapaper impregnated with B-stage epoxy and epoxy/polyester hybrid resin systems.
NOVOFILM® & KREMICA.therm®
The Novofilm® and KREMICA.therm® range of flexible materials are intended for use as main wall insulation in high voltage rotating machines rated at 155°C (Class F), where the 'resin rich' technique is employed. The Novofilm® and KREMICA.therm® range consists of PET film backed micapaper impregnated with epoxy B-stage resin systems.
NOVAFLEX®
The Novaflex® range of flexible materials are intended for use as conductor, turn or end winding insulation in high voltage rotating machines and furnaces rated at 180°C (Class H). The flexibility of certain types of Novaflex® allow prolonged storage for spare sets of coils. The Novaflex® range consists of glass fabric backed micapaper impregnated with fully cured silicone resin systems.
NOVOPORE® & KREMICA.pore®
The Novopore® and KREMICA.pore® range of flexible materials are intended for use as main wall and overhang insulation in high voltage rotating machines and traction motors which will be subsequently processed via vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI). The temperature class is dependant on final resin impregnation. The Novopore® and KREMICA.pore® range consists of glass fabric backed micapaper impregnated with fully cured epoxy and silicone resin systems. Some products are also faced with PET film to assist tape tensioning and application.
ISOBOND®
The Isobond® range of flexible materials are intended for use as insulation in armature coils and as slot liner in medium voltage rotating machines rated at 155°C (Class F). The Isobond® range consists of polyester film backed micapaper impregnated with fully cured polyester resin systems. Some products are also faced with polyester film to assist tape tensioning and application or increased electrical and mechanical properties for slot liner applications.
CONDUCTOBOND®
The Conductobond® range of flexible materials are intended for use as conductor or strand insulation in high voltage rotating machines rated at 155°C (Class F) and can be processed via 'resin rich' or vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) techniques. The Conductobond® range consists of PET film backed and faced micapaper impregnated with both fully cured and B-stage epoxy resin systems. To assist with conductor stack bonding, film surfaces can be coated with a hot melt adhesive system.
POLYMICA® & KREMICA.flex®
The Polymica® & KREMICA.flex® range of flexible materials are intended for the insulation of low and medium voltage rotating machines using a non-pressed system and for insulation of high voltage machine coil overhangs rated at 155°C (Class F). Polymica® & KREMICA.flex® can also be used to insulate rotor bars, winding joints and connections. The Polymica® & KREMICA.flex® range consists of PET film backed and faced micapaper and glass fabric laminate impregnated with fully cured polyester, fully cured epoxy and epoxy B-stage resin systems.
HYPERFLAKE®
|
The Hyperflake® range of flexible materials are intended for the insulation of end windings, rotor end belt, field coils and slot liner in high voltage machines rated at 155°C (Class F) and 180°C (Class H). Other applications include inter-layer insulation in lifting magnets and electric furnace windings. The Hyperflake® range consists of glass fabric backed mica splittings and glass fabric backed and faced mica splittings impregnated with fully cured polyester, fully cured silicone and epoxy B-stage resin systems. |
