The Novobond range of flexible materials are intended for use as conductor, mainwall, turn or end winding insulation in high voltage rotating machines, where the 'resin rich' technique is employed. The Novobond range consists of glass fabric laminated to micapaper & bonded with various high temperature resins.

NOVAFLEX

The Novaflex range of flexible materials are intended for use as conductor, turn or end winding insulation in high voltage rotating machines and furnaces. The flexibility of certain types of Novaflex allow prolonged storage for spare sets of coils. The Novaflex range consists of glass fabric laminated to micapaper & bonded with Silicone resin.

NOVOPORE

The Novopore range of flexible materials are intended for use as main wall and overhang insulation in high voltage rotating machines and traction motors which will be subsequently processed via vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI). The temperature class is dependant on final resin impregnation. The Novopore range consists of glass fabric laminated to micapaper & bonded with a low content of various resins.

ISOBOND

The Isobond range of flexible materials are intended for use as insulation in armature coils and as slot liner in medium voltage rotating machines. The Isobond range consists of glass fabric or polyester film laminated to micapaper, bonded with Isophthalate Polyester resin.

CONDUCTOBOND

The Conductobond range of flexible materials are intended for use as conductor or strand insulation in high voltage rotating machines and can be processed via the 'resin rich' or vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) techniques. To assist with conductor stack bonding, film surfaces can be coated with a hot melt adhesive. The Conductobond range consists of polyester film laminated to micapaper, bonded with a modified Epoxy resin.

POLYMICA

The Polymica range of flexible materials are intended for the insulation of low and medium voltage rotating machines using a non-pressed system and for insulation of high voltage machine coil overhangs. Polymica can also be used to insulate rotor bars, winding joints and connections. The Polymica range consists of glass backed micapaper faced with polyester film, bonded with various resins.

HYPERFLAKE

The Hyperflake range of flexible materials are intended for the insulation of end windings, rotor end belt, field coils and slot liner in high voltage machines. Other applications include inter-layer insulation in lifting magnets and electric furnace windings. The Hyperflake range consists of muscovite mica No5 splittings, backed with either woven glass fabric, Isophthalate varnished glass fabric, Silicone varnished glass fabric or polyester film and then bonded to a fully cured stage with either Isophthalate Polyester or Silicone resin, 155/180°C

The Hyperseal range of flexible materials are intended for use as a sealing & finishing tape on a variety of electrical equipment, including endwindings in high voltage rotating machines, phase connections, transformers, coils & fractional horse power motors. Other applications include stack consolidation in high voltage rotating machine stator coils, inter-layer insulation in foil wound inductor & transformer coils & as a bonding layer in salient pole field coils & strip wound rotor coils. The Hyperseal range consists of woven polyester or glass fabric, impregnated with varios resins, 155°C
